During every event we ask the scientists and moderators to nominate their top student — one who’s made the most of the event, shown enthusiasm and asked some really great questions.

Itzyagirl_niamh from Hodthorpe Primary School was nominated by the scientists for having an interesting discussion with scientists in their live chat, and also for their ASK questions such as “How bad are the explosions?? Do they effect Earth?” and “Is it difficult to code and does it stress you out?”

As the student winner, Itzyagirl_niamh will receive a certificate and a gift voucher.

I really didn’t think I’d win! I went into this assuming I’d have a lot of fun (I did) that it would be a way to find out what students at schools are wondering about (it really was) and that I’d be able to explain my work to people who were genuinely quite interested (and they were!). I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here! is back this June. Between the 10th and the 21st, students at 13 schools will be putting their questions to 6 scientists in the Space Zone.
