• Question: Do you think that planets die when they get sucked into a black hole or do you think when it gets sucked into another world different to are world ?

      I think it’s difficult to tell when a planet ‘dies’ because there’s no real ‘end’ to them. Stars run out of fuel which is a pretty obvious sign of death. However, because planets don’t need any fuel, they aren’t going to ‘die’.

      If you’re talking about whether a planet will get destroyed? Then they don’t necessarily get sucked into a black hole, I think they’re much more likely to be destroyed by the star they’re in orbit around dying.

      For example, the Earth is likely to be destroyed in several million years by the Sun puffing up when it runs out of fuel at the centre and swallowing it. Then the Sun will slowly cool over millions of years.
