• Question: how can a black hole be destroyed and if they can't what is the oldest one in our entire universe

      So I don’t know of anything that can destroy a black hole. The oldest black hole was probably made by one of the very first giant stars exploding. It’s difficult to age the oldest black hole though, because nothing escapes from them, there’s nothing that we can get a handle on. They’re sort of – ageless? I would hazard a guess that the oldest black holes in the universe are at the center of the oldest galaxies, the oldest that we know of currently is one called GN-z11.
