No, it’s actually great that you’re asking these kinds of questions, so not offensive at all. I do OK most of the time. I usually have to ask students to call out rather than putting their hands up (which can be a hard habit for students to break). It can also be hard to tell whether people are paying attention, so I tend to ask my audience lots of questions to keep them engaged. I also put my presentations together very carefully so I know what’s on each slide, but I still forget sometimes. Usually if that happens, I turn it into a joke.
