      This is my first ‘proper job’. When I was at secondary school, I used to wash dishes on the weekend for some money. When I was at university, during the summer I used to teach children how to sail. And after graduating from university I worked for a bit sailing yachts in Greece.

      So this is my first science job, and also the first one I’ll do for more than a few months!

      This is my first job since my PhD. I had a job working as a planetarium presenter in a science centre in my home town when I was a teenager. I also took a break after I dropped out of my PhD and did some data entry and analysis, sold DVD movies to people in a store (I love movies, so that was a fun job) and worked in a warehouse for a bit.
