I don’t actually study the black hole, I study the dust closest in to the supermassive black hole. These supermassive black holes live in the center of galaxies. The mass of the galaxy is related to the mass of the supermassive black hole at the center. So the largest supermassive black hole that I currently work with is in the largest galaxy that I work on. That would be NGC3783 (to the best of my knowledge) with an estimated black hole mass of 8.7 million times the mass of our Sun.
