Question: What would be the closest thing to a space blanket in our home.....You inspire me!!

The closest thing in your home is probably tinfoil! Tinfoil (despite its name) is made from aluminium, which is the same material our blankets are made out of. The main difference is in space blankets, the aluminium is a super thin coating on plastic sheets, this makes them tougher. Tinfoil is made from solid aluminium, which is really easy to rip, that would make a bad blanket!
