We don’t think so. Because the Earth was hit by a comet, lots of stuff got thrown up in to the air, and the overall temperature of the Earth got colder for quite a while. Dinosaures needed it to be warmer to survive, so they went extinct. Having said that, most birds are probably evolved from dinosaurs
