• Question: How long do you think it will be till the earth is destroyed?

      Hopefully, it won’t be until the Sun swallows us up, which should happen in about 7.5 billion years (I found that number on google).

      But there probably won’t be any life on Earth long before then, the sun will warm up and boil away the oceans. Either way, you and I will both be long gone by that point.

      On a side note, in about 4.5 billion years, the Andromeda galaxy (the nearest big galaxy to our Milky Way galaxy) is going to pass through, or very near to the Milky Way. This will cause lots of stars in both galaxies to be moved around, and some will even get flung out into intergalactic space. If we’re unlucky, our Sun might be one of these stars. Again, we’ll probably be long gone (or somewhere completely different in Space) by then.
