• Question: is a black hole really black?

      Things appear the color that they are because of the way light bounces off them and enters our eyes. Light does not bounce off a black hole (because light falls into black holes and cannot escape), and so they don’t really ‘have’ a color. The lack of a color/light is seen as black.
